stitch patterns

Wow what a week weather wise we have just had –horizontal rain, gale force winds and now there is a distinct chill in the air what’s the bet we have snow before Christmas !

Had a whole week to experimemnt with stitch patterns and take them  into all differing weights of wool to see the best effect some are stunning in lace but awful in dk or aran or hand dyed yarn.So masses of samples  done while staying cozy around the fire .I work so far in advance of the season I am actually in that soemtimes it is just nice to be knitting aran on a nice cold day.

Won myself a vintage Vogue magazine on ebay yesterday but also lost a  couple  looking for Alice Starmore patterns at the moment if anyone has any tucked away they do not want .
