Another January day

More snow overnight but it is so fine it looks like a dusting of icing sugar everywhere.Nice to see the sun and after strolling up the road  we were rewarded with the sight of avery new born calf standing shivering poor thing but she is beautiful.

More knitting this afternoon and finally solved the problem of the edges on the double knitting and sealing them off nicely looks like a row of little v’s.I am using a plain yarn and a multi coloured so cannot wait to see the colour change, it spurs you on to knit more.

 

The Fairisle top has now had the stitches for the button band  picked up and knit in corrugated rib style whilst the steeks have been finished off with a crochet row.Cannot make my mind up whetehr to place a double mitred band on this or just single .
