Christmas
Well it is fast approaching and after being snowed in for so long and no water the news that the snow is back this week fills me with trepidation.I have today finished all the endless running around chores and got the logs ready and the coal. I have finished knitting and felting the last present needed and today done my posting. This was my pudding prior to steaming for 8 hours and although my children are all far from home I rang them to make a wish whilst I stirred. It is now wrapped and standing in my cold porch ready for the day.
The cake is made as well. The mince pies and cheese straws tomorrow. If I have time I will do a chocolate and rum torte my daughters favourite. This summers Raspberry crop will be put to good use for the Old English Teatime Trifle.
The salmon arrived from Scotland to my friend Barbara and half of it awaits the festivities, thank you Babs and Harold.
This year I have handmade more gifts than ever and also timed myself with the aim of doing a new book on gifts etc .
I appeared on the Loose Ladies show on Radio Nottingham and promised Jamie last week a pair of socks so dropped those off today ,hope they fit as I went by his measurements.
I wish you all wherever you are PEACE this Christmastime and a good holiday.Thank you for your support this year, your love, your friendship and most of all it has been great to meet even more crafters through my love of making things travel to Russia, teach locally and write more books and patterns .
Chrissie, I like your Christmas tree…what a profound message!
Have a very Merry Christmas, Marianne
