Autumn,Knitting and Travel.

I love this time of year the mists,the sunshine everyone loves,the sparkling  spiders webs between autumnal coloured leaves glowing and tempting.A hectic month since I last wrote which started with my trip to Fano and journey through Europe,home for 4 days and then a journey of 600 miles to Lochness and Inverness for the inaugral festival
Here I am at Cross and Wood in The Hague meeting Pauline the owner as she is now stocking my yarns and kits.This is such a beautiful shop well worth a visit.
I then travelled through Germany to Denmark and onwards on the ferry to Fano.A brilliant festival with over 7000 in attendance.
A slow journey home stopping at Borgense for a few days then have to get ready for Inverness Lochnessknitfest.
Vitthard attended from Denmark and we looked at all the ‘ Nessies’ together.
A fabulous event with a lovely opening dinner with Haggis and on Saturday a concert with Bruce McGregor, Robert Robertson and Connor the bagpipe player.
After the festival we travelled up to the Highlands on the West coast and over to Skye.
The scenery was staggering and I will go back,so much  more to discover.
