Winter Skies

Winter skies and frosty mornings are the order of the day now.I love winter ,I find the time spent in qiuet reflection and time to design rewarding and after Christmas and all the excitement of the season the lull in the speed of the days is lovely.
Winter walks when it is so cold and icicles hang from the branches and the fields feel crispy underfoot and the countryside just waits winter out is my very favourite.
Knitting for my 2 nd childrens book and for both my Granddaughters aged under 3 fills my time as well the rate and speed they grow. I alway wear acowl or ascarf and Abi loves the little cowls I have made her to match her sweaters for when she goes out and I made the latest in 2 colour Brioche stitch in the round.
I wish I had done one for the book as it is so easy for achild to just pull these over their head and it stays in place.
Baking today with my Granddaughter and we made lemon biscuits I was very impressed at her listening skills and dexterity in mixing and beating and kneading the biscuit dough. We had great fun
A firework display last night was magical as I spent more time watching her face than the fireworks, wonderment and happiness as each new firework soared into the sky.
Time to start the CHristmas pudding knit the socks for the elves and generally enjoy the season with lots of knitting to do by the fire.
